NASHVILLE, TENN. – Big Loud game-changer HARDY had a busy weekend. The juggernaut dropped “a career-changing song” (Country Now) on Friday with new single “wait in the truck” feat. Lainey Wilson, and today the duet is the most-added single at country radio with 57 first week stations on board.
“Thank you to country radio for supporting a song that means so much to me,” HARDY says. “I’m grateful to the fans for the response already to this song, it truly means everything. I can’t wait to hear it on the radio.”
Adding to the excitement, HARDY’s just-announced December headline Wall to Wall Tour went on-sale last Friday, immediately selling out across all dates. Because of overwhelming fan demand, the country rocker added two additional shows to the already extended tour. They also sold out immediately, setting venue records at both Charlotte’s Coyote Joe’s and Greenville, S.C.’s Blind Horse Saloon.
“Absolutely amazing, a new house record in both venues: the quickest consecutive sellouts and the only artist in both venues’ 30-year history to sell out three consecutive dates,” shares the owner of Coyote Joe’s and the Blind Horse Saloon, Alan Presley.
Buzz around HARDY doesn’t stop there, with opening weekend numbers for “wait in the truck” defying all expectations. The single claimed over 2.5 million streams in its debut weekend, debuting #1 on iTunes, Top 20 on Spotify Country, Top 25 on Apple Music Country, earning early support at SiriusXM’s The Highway, and its cinematic official music video currently trending in the Top 20 on YouTube.
